Flat faces create defined front, side and back panels, while corners make the silhouette more structured than a round container. Rectangular formats can increase branding area without increasing overall height.
Flat panels are ideal for pressure-sensitive labels, direct printing, hot stamping and front/back artwork registration. Artwork should stay clear of corner radii and panel transitions.
A broad flat base supports shelf stability, but glass corners are more exposed to impact. Use partitions that prevent corner-to-corner contact during export.
Can use pumps, screw caps, droppers, corks, lids or specialty closures depending on the neck. Centering the opening is normally preferred for automated filling and capping.
Corner definition depends on mold design and glass distribution. Very sharp visual corners are not the same as sharp physical edges and may require heavier walls or larger radii.
For custom tooling, confirm face width, corner radius, base footprint, label panel, neck centerline and decoration registration before mold release.
