Amber and brown glass packaging combines a warm premium appearance with reduced light transmission compared with clear glass. It is widely used for oils, skincare, pharmacy-inspired ranges and food products where color protection and brand character both matter.

Warm translucent brown with higher product visibility.
Balanced brown tone commonly used for apothecary, oil and cosmetic packaging.
Deeper tone for stronger visual light screening and a more technical or premium look.
Color is inherent to the glass where the selected factory model is produced in amber.
Clear glass may be coated to reach a project-specific brown tone; abrasion and adhesion must be tested.
Amber remains translucent but lowers light transmission. The exact protection level depends on glass composition, thickness and shade, so sensitive formulas should be validated against their own stability requirements.
For coated amber, approve a physical master sample or color target rather than relying on screen appearance. Furnace-tinted amber is controlled by production recipe rather than a Pantone coating formula.
Compare production lots under the same light source and with similar wall thickness. Coated parts also require cure, adhesion and rub-resistance checks.
Light inks, metallic foil, white print and labels offer strong contrast. Decoration adhesion should be confirmed on both raw amber glass and coated surfaces.
