Buyer Questions

Custom Packaging FAQ

Common questions about box development, inserts, branding, samples and packaging scope.

How early should a seasonal project begin?+

Start seasonal projects by working backward from the required warehouse or launch date. Allow time for product selection, samples, artwork approval, decoration, packaging, mass production and international shipping. Existing products usually move faster than projects involving custom colors, special caps or lids, gift boxes or new molds. Build in time for sample revisions and lock the vessel, components and artwork before production so the seasonal selling window is not compressed by late changes.

Can different products be packed in one gift box?+

Yes. Multi-product gift sets can combine bottles, jars, diffusers, accessories or related items when the box and insert are engineered around the complete set. Confirm the exact products, assembled dimensions, orientation and total packed weight before the insert is developed. Separate fragile glass surfaces and keep pumps, reeds, droppers or lids from moving into one another during transport. For filled products, any leakage risk should also be considered. Approve a complete packed sample so presentation and protection are checked together.

Can packaging be prepared for direct online retail?+

Yes. Packaging for direct online retail can be planned around both presentation and parcel protection. The finished product should be easy to identify by SKU while the retail and shipping pack protects glass, pumps, lids or other components during non-upright courier handling. Confirm the assembled product dimensions, filled weight where applicable, insert design and outer protection before launch. For decorated products, also check scuffing and contact points. A parcel-delivery pack should be tested separately from the master cartons used for normal wholesale transport.

Can distributor branding be added?+

Yes. Distributor or private-label branding can be added through printing, labels, coatings, decals, engraved details, custom caps or lids and branded retail packaging, depending on the selected product. The most suitable method depends on order quantity, artwork, substrate and required durability. Provide the logo file, color references and intended placement along with the product model. For repeat programs, keep the approved artwork, color standard and physical sample as the production reference so future batches can be checked against the same branding specification.

Can bottles and secondary packaging be sourced together?+

Yes. The bottle or jar and its secondary packaging can be developed within the same project so the box, insert, label and protective packing fit the real assembled product. This is especially important when pumps, caps or lids change the final dimensions. Confirm the container first, then provide the branding and box requirements. Approve the finished product inside the actual insert and retail box before production.

Can jars, lids, labels, and boxes be supplied together?+

A complete candle-packaging set can be coordinated around the selected jar, including compatible lids, labels or logo decoration, protective inserts and retail boxes. The components should be developed as one system because jar rim dimensions, lid height, decoration and the finished candle weight all affect the final pack. Send the jar model, quantity, lid preference, branding requirements and box style. We recommend approving the assembled jar-and-lid combination and the finished retail pack before bulk production, especially when several sizes share the same brand design.
